It’s with a heavy heart that we need to announce that the rescue has hit a financial crisis. We as a rescue try to find a rescue place for any dog that is sadly in need of a new home. But unfortunately we have had an increase of rescues that have been neglected & illnesses not treated.
We have at the moment 3 dogs that are in bad need of veterinarian treatment. The first being Fifi the Bichon who came in with bladder stones her treatment is expensive & ongoing, as the kindest way to Fifi is trying to dissolve them, if this does not work it will be an operation. Secondly we have Dave the Mastiff he has Entropion which has badly scared his eyelid. Bless him he’s in so much pain he needs an operation ASAP to put this right & relieve his discomfort, this is also a very expensive operation.
Sadly Hugo Is the one suffering the most! Hugo the Frenchy who apart from being neutered and vaccinated has to have an operation for Cherry eye but the biggest problem is his ears which the vets say are the third worse they have ever seen. He has 6 infections in one ear and 3 in the other plus yeast in the second one. because they have been neglected for so long you cannot even get the drops in because they are completely blocked with benign tumours. The only solution in a double ear canal removal and that is an operation that will cost thousands.
Due to having to find a minimum of £5000 we have come to the heartbreaking decision that will be unable to take in any more dogs for re=homing until we are in a financially better situation.
If you feel you can help in anyway, we have sent up a funding page. It breaks our hearts to have to make this decision but as a non profit rescue which is solely run by volunteers, we really have no choice. But to cease taking in anymore dogs for re=homing until we are in a financially better situation.
